Over the Garden Wall

In the long ago days of my childhood most homes had a radio and,at least, a weekly newspaper. But it seemed to me that most of the interesting information was communicated over the garden wall,by the mothers,in between taking care of the children and hanging out or taking in the washing. Blogland reminds me of those sociable garden walls.
